  18. The only significant change from the short-lived 2.0 release is that
  19. dvipsk has been updated for the latest dvips, version 5.58.

  21. If you have problems with finding files, kpathsea has new debugging
  22. options that should help pinpoint the culprit; see the manual.

  26. Naturally, I am now working on the next release of web2c to use the new
  27. code.  It will be ready no sooner than a month or two from now (and
  28. perhaps significantly longer); please don't bother to ask me precisely
  29. when, as I simply do not know.  I hope someone else can write a patch to
  30. web2c 6.1 for the interim (please send it to me if you do, so I can put
  31. it on ftp.cs.umb.edu).

  33. Some people have been curious, so I should mention that I don't bother
  34. to announce updates to lib.tar.gz, src.tar.gz, or the various patches
  35. (in pub/tex/*.help) because these things are really only useful to
  36. people installing a new TeX system, or who need to fix a particular
  37. problem.  If you're already happily TeX-ing, there's little need to keep
  38. up with the updates.

  46. * Runtime configuration file support; see the manual.
  47. * Both dpi600/cmr10.pk and cmr10.600pk are searched for.

  49. * $TEXMFLOG, if set, specifies a filename for logging successful searches.
  50. * All directory entries beginning with `.' are ignored, not just `.' and `..'.
